Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll isn't sleeping well these days. Carroll and his offensive coaching staff made the infamous decision to pass the ball from New England's 1-yard line in the final seconds of Super Bowl XLIX, resulting in Russell Wilson throwing a game-ending interception.

Get over your self’s, couch quarterbacks!
Marshawn had 5 attempts from the 1 yard line this season; he was successful only once.

The pass play was well designed but it was also well defended.

life happens while we make other plans.

Ah yes. Bucky Dent hit that homerun in the Red Sox/Yankees playoff game for the AL East championship in 1978. Red Sox fans still remember Bucky Dent all these years later.

Pete Carroll should have gotten the MVP trophy for winning the Superbowl for New England.

Turned on the tv EXACTLY as that final play was made/not made. It was awesomely stupid.

I am so very glad that I don’t give a damn.

I can’t sleep either.
I sleep on my right side my sciatic nerve in my right thigh starts throbbing after a while.
I roll over and sleep on my left side my sciatic nerve in my left thigh starts throbbing after a while.
I turn over and sleep on my back and my lower back starts throbbing.
I roll over again on my belly and my arms start hurting after a while.

Drives me CRAZY!
ARGH!!!!!

Lynch failed to score a touchdown the last 4 or 5 times he was handed the ball at the one yard line. That statistic might have shook their confidence in Lynch’s ability to score a TD. I would have given him the ball at least one more time, maybe two.

Try sleeping on someone else's belly. Always worked for me.

But it worked out for Morris & Kelly.

Kelly would have been the dog if Morris had started throwin’ duds.

For a lifelong Twins fan it was some sweet series.

Times have been a little lean since then though.

"...Carroll should have gotten the MVP trophy for winning the Superbowl for New England."

Your opinion kind of ignores the fact that New England already had a field-goal-proof 4-point lead. Seahags only could have won with a touchdown.

The Patriots by this point in the game had already stopped the Lynch-beast 6-out-of-8 carries on "must-have" 3rd downs. The Seahag's best percentage successful plays were all passes.

Carroll made the right call, and New England WON IT with a phenomenal defensive play.

Suck it up.

BUT NOT OVER THE FREAKIN MIDDLE!!

Exactly my thought too.

At least he owned up to the dumb dumber dumbest call of all time.

One question I had and I have not watched a game replay, on about a 4th and 13 in the 4th, Brady looked to me to be over scrimage when he made a 20yd completion. I was surprised no one questioned it.

Everybody yapping about that one play in the Super Bowl.

What they forget is that New England was already ahead in that game by a score of 28-24. Even if Seattle tried kicking a field goal, they still would have lost.

You’re right on all counts, but I’m guessing Kelly would still sleep like a baby.

Well the Patriocheats cheated anyway so the Seahawks would have lost no matter what. If they scored that touchdown no doubt Bill Bellicheat would have cheated by paying off the ref to count it as incomplete or something crazy. Cheaters always win. Actually they probably did cheat on that last play, the Patriocheats could have had a remote control ball that they guided.

Shouldn’t the headline be “Sleepless in Seattle?”

I agree with that.

I don't think a pass play was a bad call in that situation. I think that pass play was about as dumb as it gets.
