Report: The Gravy Train Is Over For Welfare Recipients: ‘Earn Your Keep or Go Hungry’
SHTR Plan ^ | 2/3/15 | Mac Slavo

Posted on 02/03/2015 3:42:49 PM PST by Kartographer

For those who are tired of seeing their hard earned money forcibly seized by the government and redistributed to those who refuse to contribute anything of value to society. Even the staunchest of conservatives and libertarians understands that a civilized society needs to provide some level of support for those who are sick, disabled, or simply going through a rough period like losing a job. Americans are a generous people and for the most part we’re all willing to chip in to make our country a better place.

But we can all probably agree that within the social programs designed to provide for the truly needy there also exist hundreds of thousands of people who have made a career out of taking advantage of our good nature and living off government subsistence. These people are able-bodied and fully capable of performing labor of some kind, but like one woman who recently called in to an Austin radio show, they prefer to sit at home because they know they are “still gonna get paid.”

I get to sit home… I get to go visit my friends all day… I even get to smoke weed…

Me and people that I know that are illegal immigrants that don’t contribute to society, we still gonna get paid.

Our check’s gonna come in the mail every month… and it’s gonna be on time… and we get subsidized housing… we even get presents delivered for our kids on Christmas… Why should I work?

There'll be hell to pay when that check stops coming.

And stop it certainly will one day, as surely as the sun will rise.

Yep, why in the world should they work?

And actually, many are not suited to any job because of the way they are raised.

“The Gravy Train Is Over For Welfare Recipients: ‘Earn Your Keep or Go Hungry’”

Dream on.

Only after we have a new President, a Congress with both a brain and ‘attachments’ and states willing to do their part to end this cancer.

I personally don’t think it will happen till after the second American civil war (which will begin right after we have no money, and can’t borrow any more, to pay for welfare.)

Do these welfare sluggards think the socialists they support will allow them to continue to collect a check for nothing if they ever finally get the control they want?

Welfare is just a temporary condition, an investment in the future, until the socialists achieve power.

No matter what happens, the takers will either have to work or starve one day.

I suppose that Mr. Slavo means, ignore the constitution. It's not in the constitution forcibly take money from me to give to others, no matter how poor or destitute they are.

White privilege: Being held accountable for something your ancestors might have done, by those who refuse to be held accountable for their own children.

The welfare sluggards don’t think, and don’t care. Just give them their money, that’s all they care about, and nothing more.

Oh, I don’t know about that.

Nope not this conservative libertarian.

I you want unemployment insurance why does the government have to be the supplier of that insurance.

I buy long term and short term disability insurance through my employer why should unemployment insurance be different.

The private sector can do most everything better and cheaper than government. Healthcare insurance is the most resent proof of that statement.

Fraud prevention and detection of insurance fraud is much better in the private sector and is just one way that cost are kept lower in the private sector.

I disagree totally with the author’s above statement.

I could teach anyone who can read and speak English at the grammar school level to make six figures within a few years.

Provocative statement. How would you do that? And what would you teach? Because with a degree and professional creds, making that much has always been hard for me to do. But, I am female….

That’s the way it’s going to work with more takers than producers.
