Wow!! You know, I have always loved Devo. I find do that the older, wiser, more conservative, and more devout I get, the harder it is for me to trust the artists I used to admire. It’s hard being a conservative Catholic post-punker!
But here is Mark Mothersbaugh talking about how he backwards-masked “Jesus loves you!” into cartoons, kids shows, commercials, etc. Funny and touching at the same time. I don’t know much of his personal life or views but I can tell you hearing that was a beautiful thing. Wonder if it’s in the Lego Movie.
