Congratulations on not dropping dead for another year. May this coming year not be like the last one, which was filled with failures, depressions, disappointments, and colored by a quiet desperation. Even though the chances for improvement are remote... vanishing, even... hopefully this coming year won’t be as tragic and hideous.
