Yes, but considering all the hours of pleasure you will derive from the newly-found capability of implanting umlauts and tildes in mööse posts, I think the sacrifice is well worth it.
Note: you have to do your umlauts in wordpad or notepad or *anything* and then cut & paste into a FR reply box: you’ll be kicked off the “reply” browser window if you do any of that “alt” stuff.
I am anticipating the umlauts and tildes with a thrill so palpable that it is sending a tingle up my leg!
Actually, if you want goofy characters, just go to the bottom of my FR profile page and cut’n’paste to your heart’s content. I keep a set there.
