IBMs not laying off any H1Bs. They’re still out walking the halls, which is what seems to pass for work with them when they’re not on the phone to India for hours at a time.
When you lay-off an H1B employee you are legally on the hook to return them and their families to India.
More airfare then Big Blue likely wants to spring for at present.
They’re on the phone rounding up all the relatives to move to Sunnyvale and get on SSI !

They do that at IBM too? They do that in state government in WI as well.
