Your snowfall total “corrections” reminded me of a recent conversation with my brother – during our ‘Snow-vember’ event here, when he opened his garage door he was faced with a 6 foot wall of white, over which he could barely see. He came away from that event unscathed, yet this Monday with a dusting of snow but unseen ice, he slipped on his driveway knocking himself out for awhile and ended up in the ER with a concussion & paralysis on his left side, which is still bothering him. He does have some property on the Gulf Coast in Florida, which with everything going on now makes it even more tempting to relocate…
When I was in the Air Force (1970-74,) I had the good fortune of being stationed at 2 Gulf Coast locations, Keesler AFB in Biloxi, MS and Eglin, in Ft. Walton Beach, FL. The 4 years of no winters ended when I returned to the NYC metro area. I miss those mild winters.
