I’m thinking Teddy the Porcupine will be most welcome on the New England sidelines. Just put him in the box of balls and let him do his work.

Feh. The corn cob in the Patriots bin was underinflated.

The winner?

Those greedy bastard team owners.

So cheap they don’t even buy the balls and change the rules at a whim.

Want a team? Building a stadium. Make sure it has enough mega boxes.

F em. had all the NFL I want.

That critter sounded smarter than a lot of the bozos on the pre-game shows. Better looking, too.

I cannot remember the last time I was less interested in a Superbowl.

The Seahawks........Odious fans (who stole the Aggies 12th man), obnoxious players and a coach who left LA as they were heating up the tar and plucking chickens.

The Pats..................CHEATERS!!!!!!!!!!!

Best out come: Pats win 3-0 on a 53 yard field goal. The ball is then tested and shown to be overinflated (like so many egos on the field that day). The ball is disqualified, the game declared a tie.

(and yes I am kidding, well half kidding anyway)

When the Pats win they will roast Teddy on a spit and Gronk will swallow him whole. :D

They’ve had 2 weeks to practise with normally inflated balls.

But seriously, I think Seahawks win 28-21. I cite two reasons:

1. The Patriots defense was designed to stop top-flight quarterbacks like Andrew Luck and Peyton Manning, NOT a top-flight running back like Marshawn "Beast Mode" Lynch. I can really see Lynch gaining 125+ yards in this game.

2. Tom Brady is only slightly more mobile than Peyton Manning. And we all know what happened to Manning in the Super Bowl last year....

Your first point is a strong one. No real argument to be made.

The second point is at most a partial. While Brady isn’t tremendously mobile in a big way, he is generally enough within the pocket if he isn’t injured. But more appropriately, he is much less likely to be baited into a quick dump off to the defense. Manning has been particularly subject to that - especially in the playoffs.

Even that caveat would still leave a balance towards the Seahawks...except for the overt stupidity of the last week.

Last year the Seahawks would not have been in the Super Bowl if not for Sherman batting the ball away from Crabtree in the end zone. This year the Seahawks would not have been in the Super Bowl is not for Green Bay self-destructing in the last 4 minutes of the NFC title game. They have had a lot of help, especially this year. Arizona playing without their quarterback lead the NFC West the entire season, and when Seahawks played them they were on their 3rd string quarterback. Then Seattle was only able to clinch homefield on the last day of the season because of an Arizona lost. This is not a great Seattle team and if they manage to win the Super Bowl twice in a roll it will be because got every lucky break in the world on the way, especially this year.
