25,000 adult film stars, distributors, and fans descended on Las Vegas this week for the 15th annual Adult Entertainment Expo and AVN Award Show, the industry’s equivalent of the Academy Awards. Porn stars showed off for the cameras, toy manufacturers hawked their wares, and 1,000 journalists from hundreds of outlets chronicled the extravaganza.

Not so much California so much as people can easily bootleg porn for free thanks to online pirating of it. Similar to cheap gas, the revenue is no longer high enough to pay for as much. I am not the kind of person to know in detail what’s going on with porn, but I would be willing to bet that if people can copy and bootleg movies and games over the internet like they have been doing for some time, they can do the same with porn, which is pretty much photos & video.

There is some irony that the very same liberalism that made California the center of this business is now killing it through regulation. From a business standpoint, it is similar to energy production, agriculture, and manufacturing, businesses the state government has discouraged through a high tax, high regulation regime.

Actually, California has been killed through non-procreation, which is the whole point of this once-major local industry.

I love the names these porn actors and actresses give themselve...Trouble and Woodman. It does show they’re committed to their work.

“In general, California has higher taxes and a higher cost of living,” Wondercub said. “ . . . . and Nevada just has less regulations.”

California is so overtaxed and overregulated that even the porn industry is leaving. What’s left?

They better take themselves in hand and all pull together to make a quick exit.

I can see it now, after the act is over, everybody starts breaking out in a song and dance number.

They sing and dance in those movies because in India, they can’t even share an on-screen kiss.
