By way of anecdotal contribution, I was being examined yesterday by a physician in Germany who had initiated a discussion of Germany and America and he was eager to make the point that Germany was handcuffed and confounded by its guilt from the "Hitler time." I responded that America had its own demons which dominated American politics, the residue of slavery and racism.

He then observed in the context of Germany being defenseless against the inrush of foreigners, especially Muslims, that Hitler was himself a foreigner, that is, an Austrian. Tongue-in-cheek, I was able to point out the American parallel which is that we have a president who is out of Kenya.

Political correctness is finally generating resistance here in Germany and it is manifested by many of my neighbors saying how frustrated and impotent they feel under its power.

Obama said his uncle was among the liberators (I know he was later found to be in error).

Funny how he is in India touting trade and global climate change instead of Germany along with our allies marking the end of genocide.

Merkel and Germany have already forgotten. German subjects are disarmed and government-dependent, and once conditions get bad enough and another Fuhrer figure arrives, the cycle will begin again. The murders will probably be worse next time, on the order of Stalin.
