Forbidden Planet is an awesome movie. Totally agree about Anne Francis.
You might try watching Forbidden Planet and the first Paranormal Activity movie back-to-back to discover an interesting parallel!

I broke out the bluray and grabbed some frames.
Had to resize and compress them for easy FR viewing
The originals are so large and sharp you can see the film grain.
