When I quit 11 years ago, my Dr. warned me off any patches, gum, pills, or any nicotine substitute.
Told me the physical addiction is gone in 72 hours.
Now, I’m sure some FReepers will disagree, but the psychology of it was enough to get me over the hump.
I wouldn’t say 72 hours.
It was a good month until it even started to get easier for me.
I did in all fairness quit going to bars. Completely.
