I never understood leftist logic, an adult or teen practicing unhealthy behavior is more in need of protection than a child in the womb? Sounds pretty contradictory to the liberal claim that they protect the weak and vulnerable.

I think that the answer a “true” atheist would make to these questions would be yes, it would be better. Of course C.S. Lewis says that whenever a judgment of better or worse or compassionate verses cruel is made there is an acknowledgement that there is a higher good. Once an atheist admits that there is a higher good he/she has to explain how that is known and whether there isn’t a God who decrees that higher good. The Muslim who beheads a Christian girl who will not convert is simply saying that he is doing the will of allah. So would the atheist say that this is simply a cultural difference?

Anybody who isn’t willfully ignorant can see that abortion is infanticide.

Is there a secular case against murder? I think so.

Their motto as pagans is “do as you will but harm none”

I have news for you that “harm none” also means a person can’t harm themselves or the baby within. A woman needs to consider this if she BEFORE she obtains an abortion. I know some pagans work in abortion clinics but they are not following their own rule.

Nat Hentoff is pro-life and, the last I heard, an atheist.

The Roman poet Ovid was a hedonistic pagan and thought that abortion was horrible.
