I live 20 miles from Omaha. Live in Iowa and work in Nebraska(Offutt AFB, NE).

I didn't realize that Omaha had such a large population, 434,353 (2013).

The weekend isn't over yet, but a quick check shows Omaha is currently ahead of Oakland, CA by 1 in the homicide tally for 2015.

Saw this website charting Omaha's 29 homicides in 2014. Location, location, location.

I haven't been back to that area in 35 years.
Back then, I drove into Omaha often from Belleview, for clubs, movies and coffee house/cafe backgammon games.
Things must have changed a lot, in the last few decades.

Have the Central and South American cartels moved in?
