I haven’t heard the expression “Mick” used for Irish in a long time. Not being Irish myself, I wouldn’t use it unless I knew somebody really well. Many Irish people who I’ve known have a good sense of humor about it, and don’t see that as an insult.
They make great storytellers. Some describe it as ‘Blarney’.
