I have Florida brown bears (a female and two cubs) living behind my property. I certainly look around before venturing outside. The cat has been known to backup at speed, twirl around and flee to the furthest room.

There have been several attacks, though not locally. I’ve moved my trash into the garage. But they still use my property as the access to other’s houses is easier through my land.

The lighter the color the bear, them more dangerous it is.
black->brown->white

Those are brown color phase of the black bear. Brown bears are grizzlies.

Just for clarity.

Bears are strong enough to smash windows , rip off house siding, break house door locks, and rip open doors of cars.
