Peter King added some new info today that makes a more damning case. The refs checked all 24 balls (12 NE balls / 12 Colts balls) before the game normal process - and all were in spec. They checked all 24 balls again at halftime and found all 12 (according to King, 11 of 12 according to Mortenson) of the Patriots balls were 2 pounds low (~10.5PSI) while all 12 of the Colts balls were at the same pressure as they were at the beginning of the game. The refs corrected the pressure in the NE balls for second half play. At the end of the game, all 24 balls were at the correct pressure. This leaves virtually no doubt that a human tampered with the balls after the initial inspection.
Whoa! That does it. That’s takes the air outta the NE defense!
