Neither. Hundreds of millions of people will watch the game regardless whether there was a controversy or not. But in the wake of the NFL’s lousy job this year surrounding Ray Rice - their strategy of “ignore and this too shall pass” isn’t working. And if they wait until after the game to dole out punishment and have it be effective next season, then they are impotent and gutless.
This is a coach who has already been fined $500,000 for cheating and a franchise that has lost draft picks for cheating. It’s not like they’re poster boys for honesty - which again, makes Robert Kraft look like an idiot.
