Hey, here’s a thought: maybe the government should have no opinion at all on who sells cakes to whom and what’s written on them.
Abso-dang-lutely!!

Businesses should have the right to refuse service or provide service however they choose. Whether the business is deemed appropriate or out of line should be left up to the customers. The market will always sort itself out.

Along these lines, there was a bakery several years ago that refused to make a Nazi themed birthday cake for a family with three kids with names straight from the Nazi leadership.

If someone can refuse a cake on the “I don’t like the name and symbols you want on it” for this, anyone else can refuse another type of service.

And saying that religious refusal is not acceptable but political refusal is acceptable is viewpoint discrimination.
