It’s 25 degrees in in Middletown right now. I see trees in full bloom and flowers. At least 6 months ago but more likely....a year and 6 months.

What I’ve got is years of experience in exactly what was going on.

To one such as yourself with no idea how an old house can be less than worthless, this is a puzzle, but having been dependent on such activity for a living for several decades, it all fit like a glove, after reading the next door neighbor’s comments.

They had moved out of the house after recognizing that spending $ 100,000 on the new foundation that the house needed, it would still be the same old house with all of its inconveniences.

Good neighborhood plus bad house equals go for a good one.

.

Yeah, so was i.
Will have to tell you some stories one day.
Ever seen an excavator disappear down into an old underground storage tank?
Cut through a 415VAc cable with a hand saw, With the power still on?
Excavate a three foot water main by hand , then put the backhoe bucket straight through it?
Pour concrete into a cavity in the ground to fill it up, blocking the main sewer for a town of 100K ?
The Bolt holes in the steelwork not lining up, used a gas Axe to cut new ones.
Thermite cast-weld pass clean through a steel bridge deck and a Barge on the river underneath, full of coal.
Those dudes were licensed as well.
Licenses do not stop the mighty power of the Cluster F***.

Well Moosie, what I see here after reading through this is that there are a few individuals, some being FReepers of many years, who assert that they have vastly superior knowledge of either the individual, his business connections, an unknown and undivulged connection to local officials that those who truly are local - e.g. local newsies or residents, - do not have, property records other than those revealed, and a vast plethora of info that has as yet been supported by any link, fact, personal testimony of any official involved..

In otherwords, it seems that there are some who have built a straw castle out of whole cloth (or maybe oBomba truth) and are content in their delusion that they possess knowledge above the abilities of more normal FReepers.

Either that or they are just plain anal orifices of democrat-like quadrupeds..

This being Free Republic, to those individuals who have postulated any facts, pseudo or real that are not contained in the linked documentation for this thread, kindly follow FR etiquette and either post a link to your ‘facts’ or go away quietly. When you reveal yourself as an obnoxious curmudgeon no one cares if you’ve been on FR two years longer than I have. Have a nice cup of camomile tea and cuddle up with your blankee..

Where’s Alaska Wolf? This thread needs his expert ability to reason...

An entertaining thread for sure.
Personal belief in the “system” is always a problem when confronted with the ability of any human to act irrationally.
Mr Wolfie was escorted to the door last year by Jim.

Well, yes, I knew that. But it's only courteous to ping him when he's mentioned...

Alaska Wolf I mean.

A couple of the responders on this thread exhibit similar thought processes...

I see in another local article that the 'contractor' (where this 'fact' came from is unknown since no link to that info was posted) at least got his dumpster locally from Sonny...

(A local will understand the reference..)

He sure did a comprehensive job, credit where it`s due.

Pinging Wolfie.

” What I’ve got is years of experience in exactly what was going on.”

In not getting the required permit and knocking down a house with a rented excavator?

But do you see the mythical panel wall that someone who claims to know so much more about the area than the local does says is “plainly visible”?

No, you won’t.
Because it isn’t there.

Photo gallery from the local news.
You will note: furniture and belongings remained in the house as idiot boy demolished it.
Please note that neither of you know more on this event than the local does.

Im sorry it’s way early even for me... What’s this panel wall supposed to do? I read the thread but probably missed it.

Newer housing developments have a wall with all the electrical service on it.
You won’t find such a beast here as this location predates such beasts.
This local fun was fascinating.
In one of those “my, look at those ants go” fashions.

Oh. Well as I said on a dupe thread: this guy may have turned off the utilities but it really doesn’t matter. This isn’t some rural location where an accident caused by live wires or severed gas lines would only affect the dummy that caused them. This is a residential neighborhood.

The emergency response was a no-brainer because again, while this guy may have indeed turned all the utilities off properly, there was no way for the local utility guys to know that since he didn’t file for the proper permits.

If one choses to live in a residential suburb type area then one choses to follow the rules already there. And one of those rules is properly notifying utility companies when you want to do major work on your house that will require excavation of the surrounding grounds. The way to do such notification is to get the proper permits.

Don’t like that? Then move out to rural Alaska or some such; you can demolish any structure you own out in the middle of nowhere to your heart’s content.

See the previous post.

Noticed they got to the Mayor.....

From his words...seems he had violations....and since they were to living there...I'm sure there's much more to this phony, baloney, big deal story.

I just threw out my old couch. My daughter just donated her stove and fridge. A friend just donated two lovely sofas...because they were moving.

The house was a wreck...with violations and they were NOT living there. Look at the roof and the driveway and the blinds hung haphazardly.

My friends just had to walk away from their house in Florida because the mortgage due was more than value of the house.

Probably the same thing here...The 2005 value was $160,000. Todays value is about $100,000...according to assessment records. Of course, now its worth the building lot.

ASK THE LOCALS AND STOP PRETENDING YOU KNOW SOMETHING WHEN YOU DON'T

"“[Rhein] bulldozed all her clothes in there. Washer, dryer, furnace, hot water heater, everything was still in there. In fact, her medication was still in there,” ..according to neighbor Steve Belfiglio.."
"Officers who responded to a call about a "hazardous condition" made emergency calls to the local utilities to cut the gas and electricity and prevent an explosion, the Times Herald-Record reports.
A city crew turned off everything, police told the paper.

Heh?
What's that?
A NEIGHBOR states he physically saw this?
Oooh, doesn't look too good for those pretending to know the area better than a local!
