Report: 11 of 12 New England footballs deflated

BOSTON - The NFL confirmed multiple footballs used in the AFC Championship were under-inflated, ESPN reported late Tuesday evening.

Sports Center tweeted just after 11 p.m. that the New England Patriots let air out of 11 of 12 game balls on Sunday.

Corruption and zero ethics have become a way of life and too commonplace. Those that pull it off are rarely prosecuted or held accountable, and so they will do it again.

No one in power wants to disrupt the establishment even if it is crooked. This will be covered up because if true it will taint the Super Bowl and all those advertising dollars.

I agree completely. Walt Anderson is also responsible for this lack of attention to the rules. Refs can tell immediately if the game balls are under-inflated, and Anderson either was negligent or purposefully skipped the inspection.

Indy will be and always will be an also ran. With the great Manning, your team won only one Super Bowl. Brady has 3 and is working on 4 at this moment. Two of NE Super Bowl losses were lost on a fluke pass play each time.

I read about a year ago that Manning is completely eaten up that Brady has three rings and he has one - soon to be 4 rings to one.

Beats me. I think the Patriots pass more, so perhaps it helps with the passing? Rules are rules I guess - but not sure it makes that much of a difference. Especially in that blow-out.

I’ve heard that Marshawn Lynch has offered to let the Patriots play with underinflated balls as long as he gets to wear his gold-flake cleats. /s

The person who began the thread posted the link to Indy, that is what I was referencing. But ESPN is kind of in the same boat, intellectually speaking.

I was reading an article on there a while back, and they referred to the Redskins as the “R**sk*ns”. That is probably in their stylebook now. But that is the theatre of the absurd at its best!

Sports is entertainment and an escape from all the troubles in life and work. We see enough unfair cheating in life and in politics and the government. NOW comes New England Patriots with their blatant cheating, and their quarterback, and other Pat. players laughing about it. Enough is enough.
