I found that if I warned customers not to do it they were more likely to do it than if I just didn't tell them. You can learn a lot about people in the hardware business.

Had a family member of a patient with a fake arm.....I never noticed it until a fellow staff member pointed out she wore jewelery on it....
Then I could not help but look......
