(CBS SF) — A new study finds kids are gobbling up pizza at an alarming rate.
The Journal of Pediatrics study found nearly a quarter of all American kids are eating pizza on any given day and that pizza makes up nearly a quarter of their calories.
The study found kids and teens are getting more calories from pizza than anything else they eat — besides dessert.
For many, it’s a wake-up call to reevaluate how parents feed their kids.

I have to say it’s my favorite food.
If the parents are feeding their kids pizza, I can't imagine they are only having one slice. Everybody is eating pizza, it seems. Not so much the anchovies, though.
It’s just an open faced sandwich ,nothing evil about it
tomatoes, veggies sometimes, protein sometimes, dairy, and carbs all in the same food item. works for me.
And what exactly is wrong with a decent pizza?! It had bread, veggies or fruit depending on how you classify the sauce, it has dairy product, and maybe some protein if the kid has pepperoni or something added. And considering that kids often just want cheese, you would think that would make the idiots wanting less meet happy.

Pizza has all the major food groups. It’s much better for kids than hamburger and fries or hot dog and macaroni and cheese.
I had not eaten Pizza for maybe 20 years until around 6 months ago, my Niece and her family stopped by. They had picked up a couple of large pizzas on the way. I had forgotten just how good they could be.
Now McDonalds is just the opposite. I tried one of theirs after about the same time and it was so bad I could barely get it down.
I remember my late wife loved “Shakeys” pizza tho she knew they were not very healthy. I don’t guess I have seen a Shakeys in many many years.
By many they of course mean BIG Brother and his takes a village idiot tour. How long before liberals ban the word parents in government documents, because everyone knows the children belong to the state and those that some call parents are only sperm and egg donors in the eyes of the overlords.
If ever there was an “overplaying their hand” moment, surely this is it. The War on Pizza. Bring it, you goosestepping freaks.
How strange, I have three Shakeys within ten miles of me, though I haven't been in one for 15 years or so. personally I stick with Costco pizza, good flavor and best value for the buck.
There is nothing wrong with pizza...or sugary drinks for that matter...If consumed IN MODERATION!
Pizza has all the basic food groups. What’s missing though is Oreo cookies ....
