“explosive device”
“Every little bean must be heard as well as seen.”
Was it a Tupperware bowl full of pinto beans & ham?
Last week I polished off a big bowl of beans, then let loose a howitzer blast and my bulldog jumped several inches into the air.
“If I had room after a big bowl of pinto beans, I’d have some more beans.” Will Rogers
Somewhere previously, there must have been precident set with this in favor of a property owner having reasonable suspicion that his life, liberty, or property are being threatened and the reasonable response is to start shooting. If a precident had not been set... this case surely does it.
I don’t recall the case now but that precedent was set in CO many years ago.
Quite the contrary.IMHO.
I'm glad nobody died here.
I can understand that cops are a little jumpy nowadays, but they supposedly have special training before stupidly trying to bust down an armed citizens door, based on one unsubstantiated phone call...
Had they waited for a warrant, none of this would have happened.
They could have easily cleared the location falsely threatened, and cordoned off access to the suspected threat until they gathered a legal search warrant.
It wasn't like what happened in my county this weekend, when four armed thugs got into a running gun battle with cops after fleeing an armed robbery....
Cops are not the only ones who wear body armor. Crooks do too, like the robbers in the 1997 Hollywood shootout.
This is the reason for the Mozambique Drill (two to center-mass, then one to the head). A variant is to shoot the pelvis (an easier target than the head and one which will likely put the bad guy on the floor)
“I wonder what the “explosive device” was?”
One rifle primer.
They didn’t elaborate about the mystery phone call, but whoever really made the call is the person who should bear the brunt of this cluster.
And that police chief needs to be recognized as having the wisdom and common sense not to try and prosecute the man. This seems to be a rarity these days.
“Dlugonski said the caller used the residents name, KFOR reported.”
Sounds like a “swatting” to me. Some lefties have adopted this tactic and also encourage others to use it against right wingers. They usually call in a report of a hostage situation or something at the target’s home, and hope for a SWAT raid with deadly consequences.
I recommend the police next time knock at the door and have only one designated screamer.
You've been here 10 years and think that?
LOL!
Sounds like a Freeper to me.
Oh yea. I’ve been here 10 years. And I’m 100% sure that warrantless searches are perfectly fine with a large number of members here.
So there was no warrant? I’m sure they would have mentioned that as justification for breaking into the guy’s house.
But nope.
And WTF are those pinnipeds eating there? That’s just disgustingly huge.
And you can be a cop and that overweight?
I expect them to be called isolated incidents
.
Did anyone listen to that idiot mayor in the video? I couldn’t understand half of what he was trying to say. Why am I suspicious that he made the phony 911 call or knows who did?
But this time the victim survived...
True.
Less true as time goes on. The bootlickers are outnumbered these days by those who oppose the police state. There has been a massive change here over the years. You'll find knee-jerk approval of anything done be "cops" a lot less than you would even just 5 years ago. Compared to 10 years ago, the difference is dramatic.
You can almost always guess who the 5 most vocal will be as well.
