WALLA WALLA, WA - A hotel pool in Walla Walla will be closed for a while after a FedEx truck crash Friday afternoon.

Police say the employee was on her last delivery for the day when she crashed through the windows of the building at the Holiday Inn Express on West Pine Street.

The truck stopped just before taking a nose dive into the pool.

The driver wasn't seriously injured.

The Holiday Inn Express is now waiting for a structural engineer to come out and assess the damage.

No word when the pool will reopen.

“$100 bucks she was looking at her phone”

Yep, wondering what door she was to deliver the Beach towels too, or when her next haircut was.

what would really be ironic if it was a fedex update telling her she had a package delivered at home.

No, Walla Walla environs is not desert. 17" precip/yr. It is winter wheat growing area (no irrigation needed). Where I live, near the Tri-Cities in more arid. 6" of rain/yr.

Look at photos of the Walla Walla river and environs and Blue Mountains. I live within visual sight of the whole thing.

The trail in the pic I have hiked several times. About 18 miles from downtown Walla Walla.

Looks like the Express truck is mating with the Express building.

Back in the early 50’s my Dad used to run the poker game in the back of the Blue Mountain Tavern in Weston.
