You need to get your mind right about this, it won't matter what happens, they are going to do their best to ignore Ted completely and if that doesn't work, they'll do their best to destroy him by relentlessly reporting negatively about him or slandering about him.
It does not matter in the end.
Ted, being Ted will keep motoring on, speaking the truth and sticking to his guns no matter what where conservatism is concerned.
In the end, it will be that strategy, that behavior on Ted's part that will win the day.
Reagan had to deal with the same behaviors on the part of the media and the GOP-E that Ted will have to, because they both hated him too, for the very same reasons. He won't be, figuratively speaking, be bought off, he won't compromise, he means what he says and says what he means. They cannot control him and he is not on their side.
