There are similarities and some stark differences between the debut of the fourth season of HBOs Girls on Sunday and the Season 3 launch last year. In the similarities category, series creator Lena Dunham was up for Golden Globes awards both this year and last year with no wins either time. In both cases, Girls debuted against the Golden Globes. In the difference category, last year saw the Season 3 of Girls premiering at 10 PM after the debut of the heavily promoted True Detective. That wasnt the case this year and it showed with Girls as well as the Looking Season 2 premiere and the debut of Togetherness.
With a 39% free-fall, this Sundays Season 4 premiere of Girls had just 680,000 viewers at 9 PM. Thats the lowest season opener ever for Girls, which garnered 870,000 viewers for Seasons 1 and 2. Among the 18-49 demo, the series snagged 390,000 viewers on Sunday, down 35% from the start of Season 3 last year and another low.

I guess some guy sticking his face in Brian Williams’ daughter’s backside just isn’t drawing them in. What a surprise.
Hopefully it gets the boot along with that tattooed whale -— loudmouth
“Duck Dyanasty’s” ratings dropped 40% this past season, but were still more than 4 times higher than “Girls” at its peak.
Now we have this drab, unattractive girl being pursued by all these good looking men......who knew?
This brings me to wonder what exactly Dunham will be doing next. She has no acting talent. She can’t sing. Her writing skills are questionable. Other than being a host on the View...what else is there? If I were her....I’d start looking for another career move....Wal-Mart clerk, bartender, or some show on stupid pet tricks?
I’m not familiar with the show ‘Girls’ but noticed that it was prominently displayed at my local Barns & Noble, which means it’s probably not worth watching, let alone buying.
We just had four or five days of free HBO on DirecTV. I think out of all of that programming we watched two movies. I have no idea why anybody pays for that crap.
Lena Dunham's "Girls" holds no interest for me whatsoever. I watched her movie Tiny Furniture and it bored me to death. It was just a whinefest about how tough life is for the poor little girl.
“Now we have this drab, unattractive girl being pursued by all these good looking men......who knew?”
“unattractive” - no
heinous beyond description - yes
Lena Dunham - repulsive libtard inside and out
I did not want to, but my wife is now working from home and it came bundled with internet.
I was unlucky in that I saw a few moments of "Looking".
Please don't ever have children in the room when that is on. It is pure homoerotic filth, and leftist, anti-family propaganda. Live and learn!
BRIAN WILLIAMS WEIGHS IN ON DAUGHTERS TELEVISED ANALINGUS: NO ANIMALS WERE HARMED
...whole new meaning to motor-boating.
(No nudity, but too much for FR? ...Brian Williams approved)
“Hi John! How’s the son doing?”
“He makes his living sticking his nose up girls butts.”
“Oh.....he’s a politician.”
“Ok. Everyone has seen our HR video HOW TO GET AHEAD IN THIS ORGANIZATION. Now, who’s ready to start moving up?”
Dear Mom and Dad;
Remember how you could be discovered for Hollywood just by sitting on a stool at the drug store? Well, things here have sure changed.
Love, Sonny
