Jeez!...I guess John Elway doesn't want any reminders.

I wonder if Elway knows Payton is finished. The Broncos have something like 17 free agents and a team that was designed to win this year. So maybe just the tear everything down and rebuild.

They had a pitiful gameplan against the Colts and you can’t “wait till next year”. It was “now, or never”. They have numerous free agents they won’t be able to afford and medicare will no longer pay for Peyton Manning’s walker to help him move around in the backfield.

Payten looked terrible, he should retire as that was his last chance for a ring.

Del Rio was a huge bust here in long-suffering Jacksonville.
The entire family was amazed when he landed the spot at Denver.

Coach John Fox and Elway decided to part ways, it was billed as a mutual decision. The rest of the Bronco coaching staff, although still under contract, were given permission to interview with other teams if they were contacted about a position opening. That's the understanding I have and I'm a long time Bronco season ticket holder who attended the Bronco/Colts game on Sunday.
Not part of the Bronco organization but I'm more than casually interested in ongoing developments with the team.

Personally, I think this is what should have happened with the Saints.
I mean, you are a Superbowl winning coach, and you and your talent evaluators let the team degenerate to a point where it is struggling to win against Tampa?
It looks like some teams are more serious about winning than others looking at this Broncos firings.
So yeah, makes me wonder about the future of their QB at this point too.

So if the Broncos, who know Gase better than anyone, have just fired him, why would anyone else hire him to be the head coach? Everyone gets fired sooner or later. It's the NFL.

Maybe Peyton needs to get into coaching. There’s an opening and he’s familiar with the offense...
Actually, I can’t see him as a coach. He’ll get paid more if he went right into the CBS or FOX Studio and then perhaps, a team ownership down the line.

The Brooklyn/LA Dodgers had two managers from the time I was born until I was 44 years old, and they did reasonably well.
Elway is an idiot.

Not bad. Fox got four years out of the Broncos since leaving the Panthers.
