a man named Zhou and a tour guide identified as Li had been put in 15-day "administrative detention" for opening exits and "inciting" other passengers.

Will they serve them locked in coach?

The staff should probably have thrown them from the open exits. Based on my travels in Southeast Asia, AirAsia staff have generally been amenable, if not very professional (Flight 8501). As an American of Chinese descent, I am thoroughly embarrassed by the tourists from China. In places like London, they have no idea what a queue is and their dining etiquette or lack thereof makes me cringe.

When I was visiting friends in Siena, Italy, a while back, a group of Chinese tourists got off a bus and practically knocked down an elderly woman to gawk at some beautiful pastries. When one tourist saw my astonishment, she started swearing at me in the Shanghai dialect of Chinese. Oh, brother.
