Obama and America shamefully skip Paris march against terror The U.S. fails to join the whole world in standing by France

NEW YORK DAILY NEWS Sunday, January 11, 2015, 7:42 PM

Displaying powerful symbolic unity, in fitting and proper testament to the defense of civilization, more than 40 world leaders linked arms to lead the mass march in Paris in resolve against Islamist terror.

The United States of America, Barack Obama, President, was inexcusably absent from one of the most critical turning points in the war between radical Islam and the West since 9/11.

No Obama. No Joe Biden. No John Kerry from State. No Chuck Hagel or Ashton Carter from Defense. Not even Eric Holder from Justice, who happened to have been in Paris.

Yet there was British Prime Minister David Cameron, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, Jordan’s King Abdullah and so many others — most extraordinarily including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.

I appreciate your reply.

But, do the two situations equate? bin Laden was the perpetrator of 9/11. From what I have read, the jackwagons in France had Algerian connections...nothing to do with the Palestinians. At least not outwardly.

Although I do suspect Abbas’s motives...why would he risk alienating his own people to do this march? Especially since BiBi was marching with him?

There’s a thread on this, apparently Hollande didn’t want Bibi there, but he wound up going anyway, and Abbas had been invited the night before.. I’ll try to find the thread.

Many people of many Nations are scratching their heads over this.

Report claims France didn’t want Netanyahu at Paris march

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3245756/posts

The French government was opposed to the idea of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu attending Sunday’s historic march in Paris, believing the Israeli leader’s presence at the rally would be “divisive,” Israeli media reported Sunday.

Netanyahu did not initially plan to attend the event, which was organized in a show of solidarity and defiance after terrorist attacks in the French capital which claimed 17 lives. However, the Prime Minister changed his mind after Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman and Economy Minister Naftali Bennett announced they would join the march, Israel’s Channel 2 news reported.

In retaliation to Netanyahu’s sudden change of heart, which came in spite of the French government’s position, the Elysee Palace extended an invitation to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, according to the report.

The French government reportedly further chose to highlight their invite to Abbas rather than Netanyahu’s announcement regarding the event, announcing a planned meeting between French President Francois Hollande and Abbas Saturday night.

The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office did not respond to a request to respond to the reports.

On Sunday, Hollande and world leaders, including Netanyahu and Abbas marched in the mammoth procession, which began near where gunmen killed 12 people at satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo last week.

Netanyahu was initially situated in a second row of leaders, but shimmied his way into the front row, alongside Malian President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, Hollande, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, European Council President Donald Tusk and Abbas.

Among the victims were four Jews at a kosher supermarket and a Muslim police officer.

It does look bad when people as hated as Netanyahu can do this, yet Obama can’t. If they tell people it is a security issue, it makes us look like prima donnas, which we are.

Paid a visit to DU. Not a peep about Barry, Joey and Ricky skipping the rally or the new video threats. At least the US Ambassador showed up. Typical.
