Jameis Winston, winner of the 2013 Heisman Trophy, has opted to enter the NFL Draft.
The Florida State quarterbacks father, Antonor, said his son will forgo his junior season and enter the NFL draft, according to ESPN. Antonor Winston said that his son had initially wanted to announce his plans until after the College Football Playoff National Championship game but, after praying Tuesday night, decided he would acknowledge his plans on Wednesday.

You’re probably right. I was just thinking of Winston’s legal future. Would Vick have been drafted if he had been accused of dog fighting in college?
If he were available at the Rams pick (11?), they might take a flier on him. We have Bradford for one more year, if he doesn’t collapse in preseason. In that time we could see what Winson’s got. The fact is, in today’s NFL, a QB is crucial. It is RARE that a mere game manager (e.g. Trent Dilfer) can win the Super Bowl. There won’t be free agents available for teams that need a QB, and this is a lean draft year for QBs, where even raw talent will be highly prized.
Someone will take a chance on him in Round 1.
Whatever team drafts him, will have to be keep the Kardsahian girls away from him. This time, the younger sisters, Kendall or Kylie, will be getting front-row seats, close to the team’s seats on the sidelines.
Accused and cleared in multiple investigations? Sure. Even if those investigations were obviously deeply flawed and didn’t want to find anything.
