Yep. A lot of it (for us). 4 to 6 inches, but it could go up to 8.
Found out a pipe burst inside the well last week, that's why we didn't have running water (again, many thanks, winter!). Plumbers said they had to replace burst pipes all over the place. NC pipes aren't prepared for single-digit cold, lol.
Anyway, everything's fixed now. I have plenty of groceries and supplies AND running water so we're prepared for anything that happens. (Thanking God)
