My recollection is that the annual peak homicide count in NYC was a bit more than 1900 (that is, one thousand nine hundred, or more than five per day on average), but I don't remember what year, and now that information is strangely difficult to come by using Google.

Yep. Not only does he contribute to getting the cops killed, he then has the audacity to use their families to hide behind. I thought Obama was scum, but this guy take the cake, he’s the champion. That’s commies for you though. They should be nowhere near anything even resembling a position of power in the USA but sadly we have a LOT of stupid people in this country who keep electing them. This guy is just getting started too, he’s only been Mayor for one year. One year exactly to the day I believe, he took office early January 2014. He could end up being in office for the next 10.
