Instead of a photo, I would have been smacking and lecturing my kid.

Yeah thanks. I took a lot of hits for my comments about safety.

It's a dog, just like a bear is a bear. It looks great in the pic this time but maybe not next time. I mean tell it to the guy who was eaten by the bears...

I wish people would leave the romantic notions out of this stuff. All dogs bite.

Someday this dog may have a different agenda and reach up and remove the child on his own terms. Or just flip the kid off and he hits something on the way down.

Other than that being a sweet moment captured on film, and not a permanent state of Trig using the dog as a step stool, as the 6 year old boy is forced to wash dishes for the Palin family.

The dog is a special trained service dog, for the Special needs child, and Native American, Trig Palin.

When I posted my comments, I didn’t know that Trig’s dog had received special training, which obviously had made her more tolerant and accepting of unexpected or perhaps unusual behavior from him.

I could see that the dog wasn’t harmed and noted that she was very tolerant and not harmed and that the photos were snapped quickly in sequence.

Nonetheless, like I said, I think those pics should have remained in the family album, and Trig should be taught to better care for his dog. Accidents happen and like you said, dogs bite and they also move. Trig could have hit the sink’s counter on the way down.

I’m sorry you took “heat.”
