Perhaps it was Vermont lib then. Personally, I think Trig is too big to be doing this, but unlike you pearl-clutchers, I’m not imagining that it is common for Palin to allow Trig to stand around on the dog. It’s pretty obvious that he does not since it was unusual enough to photograph. Somebody probably snapped a pic and made him get down. She was probably amused by his figuring out the solution to his problem of reaching the sink. Obviously the dog is not hurt, nor do I doubt that if the dog had acted bothered by it that she would have removed him, instead of allowing someone to snap pictures.
And photographing a child who steps on a dog to reach the sink.
Most kids, caught in the position above, have learned the lesson "I shouldn't have attempted to climb up /hang upside down/do a handstand/climb down *that* way" by the nature of the experience.
A child who steps on a dog and sees mom or dad laughing about it and taking multiple pictures? Learns an entirely different lesson. "Mom thinks this is cute/funny. It's okay if I do this again.
