My son is at a small engineering college. He won’t even let us visit let alone move in. This place is so academic, the biggest behavioral problem they have is a case or two of plagiarism. With their internships, most students have security clearances while still in college. No one wants to endanger that.

That's just it--you have to stay out of what I call, "general population". Many colleges now offer "honors colleges" and they have special dorms, special eating facilities, etc. where you are kept with the upper echelon and more serious students.

Just like high school, keep 'em away from general population, bell curve types.
