Formerly the "Fans of Quinn and Rose Discussion" thread, our group been meeting here since 2008. We still hold out hope that our favorite talk show hosts will come back on the air but, whether they do or not, our friendly group will still meet to start the day. So mrs p6 and I are still feeling poorly. We’re both still sick and I’m getting vertigo probably from my fall.

This was after I had tried to get up. They put the stool there thinking it would help me get up. When I fell I was facing the doors. At least they had a good laugh.

Don’t get me started on Obama. He says the war is over and we’ve won - while the Taliban and other groups are growing. He’s such an idiot. Not to mention that we’ve lost much blood and Treasure fighting over there. For WHAT did they sacrifice their lives?? Obama is friending our enemies . He’s a communist and a muslim - hence embasassies in a communist country and an enemy muslim country.
My heart breaks for the families of those killed in the plane crash. I figured the weather had something to do with it.
I may or may not be posting a thread the next few days - definitely not on Jan. 1st - I’m sleeping in!

Awful news (though not surprising) about the Malaysian jet. The photos of the waiting families are heartbreaking. Prayers for them at this time of loss.
P6, vertigo IS a symptom of a concussion. As are headaches w/or w/o nausea, feeling disoriented; having hand/eye coordination issues. Two years ago my youngest had a “moderate” concussion (playing HS soccer). He went to the UPMC Concussion Care program (his care was 100% covered). It was fascinating AND SCARY to learn about concussions and their aftermath. He had protocols to “heal” his brain and also to “rest” his brain. And (our sense of humor—just like your family) we laughed because we had (after multiple EEGs; a CAT scan or two) MEDICAL EVIDENCE that the kid DOES INFACT have a brain. (Sometime w/teenage boys that is questionable).
Feel better...but PLEASE seek out treatment if you don’t feel “right.” We are lucky “here” that that program is available locally.
SNEAKS...enjoy that sleeping in! Yesterday and today have been AWESOME! Next week...back to reality...but this week is “sleepy time.”
Hi Greg! Was thinking of you yesterday! Was at the Jeep place (getting inspection and rotors cut) and wondered if you (and family) found a nice place to go...sounds like you had a nice day tho...we contemplated walking over to the EatNPark...but McDs sooooo much more affordable!

See yinz tomorrow (would you believe I have to BAKE cookies as they ATE everything and both boys NEED something to take w/them to NewYearsEve get togethers (the holiday I sleep thru) tomorrow night?!? My baked goods have a more exciting life than I do :-(

We got a smart tv for our bedroom and a roku stick. I’ve chatted with a comcast rep and found out how much for just residential phone service and internet. We are talking about dropping cable tv.

The worst part of the Malaysian jet crash is that the families saw live video of floating bodies before they were notified by the company! No wonder they were hysterical and fainting.
BTW I suppose everyone on the thread knows about the increase in state gas tax starting Thursday. Near 10 cents a gallon!

As to me I’m doing much better today but I did have the headaches and nausea. I’ll be going to the doctor next month but everything is pretty much on hold until mrs p6 gets her problems addressed. Both of us out of commission at the same time is really bad all around, LOL!
And yes our families have the same sense of humor!

I’m up to the usual .. listening to talk radio, making soup and playing around with my Silicon hdhomerun recording stuff off of OTA TV. Looking forward to installing my new HP printer... and eating some just made meatball tortellini soup.
I wish we could get OTA TV. Too many hills around us. We can’t use cell phones around here. Still, I want to borrow my son’s antenna to see if we could get something from the station that’s about 22 miles away. According to antennaweb, we can get a weak signal from at least one station, IF we mount it high enough!
Have you tried tvfool.com ? I receive lots of channels. My tv tower is 32 feet tall and I installed a water pipe inside of it hooking the antenna to it at about 38 feet.. it has an amplifier on it and a distribution amplifier in the basement.. giving me 8db more gain... which is the reason I get so many channels.

Kids have low key New Years Eve plans...I HAVE to stay up as youngest (17yr old) has JrLicense and is invited to his gfs house (family get together) and PaDad will NEVER stay awake to go get him...so it will be me. Sigh.
Wow! You have quit the set up AM! Like Sneakers I live in an area w/too many hills (even tho CasaPaMom is at the crest of a hill). I am still trying to figure away to get Root Sports on our Roku (even techie sons couldn’t make it happen). That is ONLY reason we are still COMCASTIC :(
A winter without Penguin hockey nights or a summer with the Buccos would be UGLY around here!
