These are limousine libs. They can’t understand why the uncle moved to Kentucky. They buy hybrid SUVs. They abide by whatever dietary restrictions are in vogue (paleo lasagna?). The kid has been all aroung the world but never held a job. My comparatively meager assets are the furthest thing on their radar.
When somebody asks “What do you need a gun for?”, my response is:
“I’m not obligated to be a victim of the criminals the liberals refuse to lock up.”
If I need a follow-up I point out that we hike in areas with coyotes, bear, and mountain lion.
There is no upside to telling relatives that you’re also concerned about a tyrannical government.
Part of the discussion was me telling her that her statement was rather socialist. Her response we was “aaahhh socialism”. Then she continued to tell me the joys of that failed political system.
I may see her at a wedding next week. Hopefully a few years of marriage and real life has changed her attitude.

If the Firing Pin is upgraded for submerged use.
Also NEVER use Hollow Points submerged- they can expand in the barrel due to the water.
