Demonstrators tell de Blasio what he can do with his request to suspend protests

At a press conference Monday afternoon, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio repeated his request that demonstrators in the city put aside protests until after the funerals of the two police officers ambushed and executed in their patrol car Saturday. Naturally, when video shows marchers chanting, “What do we want? Dead cops!” during the recent #MillionsMarchNYC, it’s not hard to believe that many protesters weren’t sympathetic to the mayor’s request.

Actually, it is only going to be a problem in cities where the citizenry isn’t armed.

Which, ironically is what the protesters fervently desire to achieve.

Actually, it is only going to be a problem in cities where the citizenry isn’t armed.

Notice how quiet Detroit is? They have a heavily armed population and a solid pro shoot things police chief.

Well, it depends on whether he can control the city. If he loses control, he may receive a visit from a committee of the big mucky-mucks (the big money-bags) who don’t want to see their investments go down the tubes.
 
And if they don’t think he is up to the job, he’ll be under considerable pressure to resign. Watch the editorials in the NYTimes. That’ll give you an idea of where things are headed. (The Times has this nice glittery new palace right off Times Square. Don’t want anything to happen to it.)
