Shall I play on my drum "pa rum pum pum pum, rum pum pum pum pum, rum pum pum pum?"
No thanks.

We have a winner.
Still haven't recovered.
For those of you that don't understand TORTURE:
Oh my yes. I gotcher "parumpapapum" right here!
Other infuriating screechings that belong on the house speakers in Hell:
Santa Claus is Comin' To Town - the Springsteen version. A fat, disgusting diamond-encrusted rock dinosaur still pretending to be a working man and more than happy to give other people's stuff away.
Merry XMas (War is Over) - yeah, right. The War was ignored at that point by the sanctimonious, blood-stained creeps on the Left, not over. After all, the evil U.S. was out of it and there were only good guys left, like the Khmer Rouge and the NVA. I want to scream.
Jingle Bell Rock, any version. It isn't even rock, it's swing.
Do They Know It's Christmas? - Dear God, it's insufferable. A motley collection of some of the richest people on the planet chastising the rest of us for daring to be happy.
Gotta go blow this stuff out of my ears with a cranked-up rendition of Alleluia, Amen. Most of these turkeys above wouldn't like it, it's about Christ.
Do you mean ‘Do You Hear What I Hear’?
(I don’t really care about the ‘politics’ behind the song; everything is ultimately subjective, and we interpret things individually, according to our own capabilities, references, and understandings.)
I frequently listen to the radio, through earplugs, while I go to sleep. As a former insomniac, I learned years ago that this helped me to sleep. (I no longer have trouble sleeping, but haven’t gotten out of the habit of occasionally listening to talk radio, while falling asleep.)
Last year, on Christmas Eve, the station that I usually listen to was playing Christmas music all night.
At one point, I heard sung the words: “Let Us Bring Him Silver and Gold”, and those words meant a lot to me - I seemed to understand them for the first time. A great thrill went through my mind and body as the words were sung.
“Bringing Silver and Gold” suggests to me that we must be the best that we can absolutely be, to honor Our Lord: to be loving, kind and virtuous, to the best of our personal abilities.
I believe that this experience, and the viewpoint that it engendered, have really changed my life during the past year; and I have learned to love that song, especially Bing Crosby’s version.
Merry Christmas to all,
JT
