Wes Welker Will Not Be Denied

DENVER -- Wes Welker says he's going to be fine.

Sometimes he forgets stuff -- Where did I put my keys? What's the name of that restaurant? -- but who doesn't?

"My wife will be like 'How can you not remember that? Is it the concussions?'" he says. "I'm like 'No, babe, I just forgot!'"

There are days when it's hard to convince his wife, Anna, that those little lapses aren't a harbinger of something more. Two months ago, they went out to dinner with another couple, and the friends asked Welker how old he was. "I'm 33," he said, and Anna shot him a horrified glance. "Wes, what are you talking about?"

I’m a big Steve Largent fan and therefore a grudging Welker fan.

I am a Pats fan, and I loved watching Welker play. I was sorry to see him go, but naturally, I didn’t want his team to do well...:)

Love his style of play. Tough as nails. Great punt returner. I wish he had gone to the NFC, where I could openly root for him!

ESPN cannot say or type “Welker” without “concussions” being within 6 words.

Pats let him go because it became evident he has sustained too many brain injuries.

My favorite Welker moment was when he did many foot references when commenting on Rex Ryan and the Jets. For his troubles, coach sat him down and may have cost the win.

Yup, Largent and Welker remind me of “Mr. Floor Burn”, Mickey Davis of the Bucks back in the early ‘70’s.

No...they let him go because they were playing hardball contract with him, which is what they do in New England, for better or worse. He was also playing hardball contract with them. I know for a fact his history of concussions didn’t have a thing to do with it. (To put it lightly, I follow these things closely, living in the area)

Welker didn’t sit out the game...he just sat the first couple of offensive series. He just didn’t start. That didn’t cost the Patriots that game or any other game.

And I liked the foot thing, too...I thought it was hilarious. But if you play in New England, you play by the rules set by the coach. Some players do it, because they think it is worth more to have a chance to win. Others just cannot, and they end up moving on.

I was sorry to see Welker go, but have long since stopped harboring ill will towards the Patriots management for that kind of thing. I accept it for better or worse as a fan, because they field a team every year that has a legitimate shot at a championship.

As a fan, that is a lot of fun. Some of the players think it is worth it too, but some can’t be bothered, they just want their extra half a million a year more, freedom to say what they want to when they want to, and generally freelance more in the game.

But there are are a lot of players who do well in New England because that is the type of environment they thrive in, a more constrained, controlled, internalized environment. It certainly isn’t for everyone.

Largent was great. A class act, indeed. I hated it when the team I follow had to play against him. But I liked him.

I feel the same way about JJ Watt. Even if he destroys the offense of the team I root for, all I can say is “Man, what a player. I would love to have him on MY team!”

I sometimes forget where I put my keys...but then I'm more than 30 years older than Welker. He'd be wise to consult a neurologist...one that *he*,not the Broncos,is paying for.

That's because they are doing the tried & proven method of piece meal attack.

When in Rome, do as the Romans, except if your a French Republican, you know the type--then it's WE Surrender each and every time.

These are the people @ ESPN and the rest of the alphabet soup proven Communist, that pray at the alter of Pulitzer Prize Awards, Camel Cigarette Smoking Egbert Roscoe Murrow, AK.A., Edward R. Murrow Awards.

If you continue to let these Pulitzer Prize, Camel Cigarette Smoking Egbert Roscoe Murrow, AK.A., Edward R. Murrow Awards for Disinformation Specialist, vanity seeking near do well's, continue to rise these False small letter gods, unchallenged, what do you expect.

American public opinion was agitated by anti-Spanish propaganda led by journalists such as Joseph Pulitzer and William Hearst which used yellow journalism to criticize Spanish administration of Cuba.

They hammered 43rd POTUS George W. Bush for a drunk driving conviction, 25 year's old incident (this was a Time when it was not looked down upon as today 2014, depending upon your stage in life, it was not unheard of to brag about such thing, I know, I was a Tow Truck Driver, back then. Personally I always over charged the Braggers, when they came in on Monday morning to retrieve there vehicles) {September 4, 1976 in Maine for drunk driving}, but it was ok, for automobile passenger, Mary Jo Kopechne to be killed by a sitting U.S. DemocRAT Senator Edward M. Edward R. Murrow (born Egbert Roscoe Murrow; April 25, 1908 – April 27, 1965)

Edward R. Murrow (journalist) died of lung cancer. ... confessing, “I doubt very much that I could spend a half hour without a cigarette with any comfort or ease.”

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edward_R._Murrow A chain smoker throughout his [Edward R. Murrow] life, Murrow was almost never seen without his trademark Camel cigarette. It was reported that he smoked anywhere from sixty to sixty-five cigarettes a day, equivalent to roughly three packs a day.

So I guess because he [Edward R. Murrow] was a lib, the progressives just hide that irrefutable fact.

So the moral of this is what, if a lib did it, it didn't happen is a guess. So what's next awards from the KKK (DemocRAT'S in white robes) reporting stations?

FIGHT back America, use it or lose it.
