Its not hard to understand what makes Dr. Oz so popular. Called Americas doctor, syndicated talk-show host Mehmet Oz speaks in a way anyone can understand. Medicine may be complex. But with Dr. Oz, clad in scrubs and crooning to millions of viewers about miracles and revolutionary breakthroughs, its often not. He somehow makes it fun. And people cant get enough.
I havent seen a doctor in eight years, the New Yorker quoted one viewer telling Oz. Im scared. Youre the only one I trust.
But is that trust misplaced? Or has Oz, who often peddles miracle cures for weight loss and other maladies, mortgaged medical veracity for entertainment value?

I recommend this guy.
When I last saw my cardiologist, he wanted to know if I was going to ask him about something I saw on Dr. Oz too. Seems his last 3 patients before me told him about some advice on heart issues from Dr. Oz that was contrary to my cardiologist’s advice. My poor doctor was exasperated by this TV shill and even more so that his patients were listening to Oz instead of him.
IMHO, my doctor knows me far better than Dr. Oz or any other TV charlatan. He has my family health history, my personal health history and is aware of my current health condition. So why shouldn’t I listen to the doctor who knows me instead of some guy on TV who doesn’t?
And his...."I have nothing to do with those products". Well, that's Old Medicine Man speak.
Too bad James Randi wasn't in the audience to expose that fraud.
He’s a Sufi Muslim from Turkey.
That’s all I need to know to know he is a con man.
Having worked in the medical field I know that each patient is different. As a result I don't mention ads for medications during a doctor's visit.Dr Oz is,in fact,a chest surgeon at an outstanding hospital so he would have at least *some* credibility...if not a good deal of credibility...on issues regarding the cardiovascular system. However, most "civilians" don't understand that a particular treatment or medication might be perfect for *some* people but not for *them*.That's perhaps the main reason why physicians are exasperated by patients who demand that new drug advertised in Ladies' Home Journal.
Muslim con artist. Suckering the gullible- it’s an Islamic commandment.
Only half? This charlatan needs his license pulled. The man is an insufferable snake oil salesman.
Now Dr Who I would trust 100% of the time to be correct. If he, Matt Smith, would only make house calls.
The only thing I ever learned from watching Dr Oz is that if I move, breath or eat I increase my risk of death.
Dr Oz only visits his old hospital once a week. The chief of surgery there has stated he would not recommend having Oz operate on you. Why? Because Dr Oz only works once per week. You must keep your skills up and stay abreast of changing techniques, the guy said.
Dr Oz is indeed a highly intelligent, type A overachiever. He’s also heavily influenced by his new agey wife. Most of all, Oz is in love with celebrity, and himself as a sort of messiah.
When Januvia cane on the market for diabetes, I had more than a few well meaning friends and relatives urging me to press the doctor for a prescription. My doctor said it was too new and he would prefer to wait to see how it worked in the general population. Well, it seems that there have been some complications and for a time, Januvia was pulled off the market. Januvia is back with a spate of warnings and there have been some lawsuits over the drug.
What I take now has its own possible side effects as do all drugs, but so far, nothing I can't handle. If a medication or treatment works, why mess with it because of some new heavily advertised treatment or whatever Dr. Oz is peddling?
Pretty sure ain’t is a contraction for ain not.

LOL.... Thanks. I needed a little chuckle this morning. And, hell, who knows; you might be right.
