'Bullet-looking missile thing' turns heads along highway south of Boulder

It's fair to assume that question was on the minds of many people who traveled along Colo. 128 south of Boulder this week if they happened to catch a glimpse of what appeared to be a large, silver projectile perched alongside the highway and pointed north toward town.

That looks fake. Look at the scale of the orange life then look at the scale of the blue wire cable going up to the “device”. Those are the biggest zip ties ever!.

No, it’s some sort of sensor.

Probably a ground radar for sighting vehicles and they are using traffic to practice.

Everything past the end of the engine hoist looks shopped. Where are the straps holding the box attached? They just appear to dissolve near the tip of the hoist.

Years ago it took a few Aquarolls to East Africa for testing.

One was being rolled by a local woman down the center of the road in a small town in northern Uganda. Many locals were running away in alarm, shouting, "She has a BOMB!"
