We had a young male beaver slip into our fish pond a couple of years ago. Evidently it was hoping to find a female and set up housekeeping.

If the barking of our dogs hadn’t finally persuaded it to move on, we would have had to shoot it, before it ringed all our fruit trees and flooded the basement.

They’re fine out in the wilderness, maybe, but they’re pests anywhere near where people live.

I own a 12 acre lake, as soon as I see the V going across the lake I grab my rifle.

People who haven’t lived around them have no idea of how destructive the little furry things are.
