Do reporters even bother to fact check anymore?
With a name like that, one has to assume Taquiyyah.
See him soon behind the counter of your neighborhood McDonald’s.
Hmm
As fake as Fauxcahontas.
The reality is that you cannot invest in the stock market until you are 18. He would have had to have a front investor and that is illegal.
Goes to show you that the media are dumber than he is...all of them.
They were soooo keen on the idea that this muslim was able to make $72 million, and it never occurred to them to check the law regarding investing.
I’ve learned to take everything that a Moose limb, liberal, democrat, fascist, academic or journalist (they’re all the same of course) says with a grain of salt because they are all liars, cheats, thieves and whores.
JMHO.
Someone named Mohammed Islam lied? That counts as news?

You got played, idiot. You should resign your position.
Anyone who believed this was gullible to the max.
There are no one-way fortunes to be made in the stock market.
Most successful speculators were pathetically inept at trading in the beginning and will tell you that.
Others had a good run going and lost it all and then some while shorting or using leverage.
I was ready to give the kid the benefit of a doubt, although the story was indeed fantastic. Some kids today are doing amazing things. I’m disappointed that journalism has gotten so very unprofessional. Most teens love fooling adults, and will keep the lie going as long as possible. I blame the ‘writer’ Ms Pressler. She needs a new career, like now.
Even if you were investing since you were 5, unless somebody was fronting you a lot of cash, there is no WA could be worth that much money in such a short period of time.
Not all high school girls keep up with the news, I wonder if the clippings he saved will win him any dates.
Actually, they would work pretty well in an adult night club.
Actually, they would work darn well framed and on his apartment wall in a couple of years.
“Do reporters even bother to fact check anymore?”
Well, it’s not that, it’s simply that it costs time and money to do these things, and reality sucks most of the time, so it’s really better for everyone involved to just write fiction on a slow news day.
And then journalism majors wonder why their degree is one of the least respected on the planet. Frankly, I’d rather hire a sharp high school senior for just about anything.
However, it’s certainly true that during the 90’s, a monkey, or cattle making cow pies on a grid, could make you serious money with four and five digit ROI’s.
That WA should be way.
Maybe his real name is Barry Soetoro.
This’ll be treated as a bigger scandal than Grubergate.
