You stuck it out longer than I did. I bailed back when they nominated McCain for president.

Sweet! Did it a few months ago myself.

Yeah - that’s what I remember - I felt clean.

Now, you can scream at both sides, with equal viciousness.
Just as I have done, since I have registered Libertarian. I might not agree with their total platform, but here in Louisiana, an ‘independent’ is looked upon as a wanton child, not sure of which party they really want.

Same here, I have always been an independent.

I did it the day that McCain got the nomination in ‘08. I tried once before the day that GWB called me a racist for not supporting amnesty but I chickened out after sitting in the parking lot of the county election office for 25 minutes.

It is really quite liberating. Like watching an old girlfriend that cheated on you whose life has turned into an ongoing train wreck.

I still vote for them because I have no alternative but at least I don’t affiliate with them anymore.

i’ve been registered democrap for years. vote against them twice here i philly. not that it matters. they must figure the machine is broke when it tallies my vote. or maybe it just automatically switches it to D. Allison Shwartz was an easy one for governor.

I re-registered last year as a Democrat, just so I could help them pick the worst loser in the primaries. I probably will re-register as a Republican for the next primary so I can vote for Ted Cruz. I have to admit, going to the Democrat primary and bad mouthing Hillary would be fun...
One thing about being a registered Democrat, the left wing goof ball organizations spent a ton of money sending me junk mail. I shred it for fire starter.

You’re prob. correct. Until the time when we have free and OPEN debates (very easy to tie up all the votes when no opposition is allowed a voice. Were anything but the ‘big 2’ in any televised debate? How about the papers/etc.?). Nope, we have sound bite factories and our ‘free’ press keeps the masses duped and ignorant.

Still, it’s I’m one less vote (most of the time) for the lesser. My hands, and conscience, are clean and clear.

Can’t say that I blame you.

I’m going to hold on through the 2016 primary.

After that I’ll more than likely leave the plantation.

In 2012 Independent voter registrations stood at 24%. In 2014 the numbered had jumped to 42%. That’s a HUGE jump.

Voters are leaving the democrats and republicans in droves and are registering as Independents.

In 2016 Ted Cruz will win at least 2/3’s of Independent voters, all of the Conservative republican base, half of the Latinos, all of the blue collar Perot voters and the Reagan democrats to win a landslide of at least 58% of the vote.

I have been registered as Independent since 1976, though I nearly always vote for the Republican candidate.

More congrats to you!

The wife and I left the GOP only last year (after Bohner and the other Repubocrat leaders wanted America to go to war in Syria to defend al Qaeda)

Remember that?
