I decided last week I'm going to read Edward Jay Epstein's book on Oswald soon.

Looking forward to it.

Don’t bother. I’ve read it. It’s BS.

“Legend”?

It’s a good read. He is not well regarded among the “conspiracy” community, they basically call him a “CIA mouthpiece”, but his research and logic is pretty solid, unlike a lot of the conspiracy books that are built on flimsy stuff.

He makes a good case that Oswald fit the profile of some kind of intelligence asset, but I think he stretches a bit when he concludes he had to be controlled by the Russians. Oswald might have worked for us, or both sides as a double agent of some sort, or simply have been some minor asset who went rogue, but he really doesn’t explore if the facts can fit those other scenarios much.
