As distasteful as the thought of torture can sometimes be, it is a necessary fact of life in today’s world.
There are (as much as Dianne Feinstein thinks otherwise) a lot of people out there who wish only the worst upon us. Those people will stop at nothing to inflict great harm on us.
The short answer is: We should use whatever means are necessary (torture-wise) to get the information we need from terror suspects. If’t it the use of psychiatric medicines or just good ol waterboarding, nothing should be off the table.
Nothing.
I may not resort to the use of donkeys — Like as in the Tijuana Donkey Show. But everything else may be on the table.

ONE thing they are failing to mention is that the people being supposedly “Tourtured” / interrogated ARE NOT U.S. CITIZENS!
I am against tourturing citizens, and even prisoners of war ( from an officially declared nation state war ), but when it comes to Prisoners for war who are waging asymetric warfare not tied to a nation state but to an idealogical state bent on the destruction of a nation sate..... Pass the jumper cables...

I could care less what happens to scum involved in terrorist attacks, they have no rights under any war articles, so go for it! The idiots who cry that what we do will affect American soldiers that may be captured are so blinded to the reality of these sub humans and what they will do no matter what, are irrelevant.
I’ve got a friend who’s an actual trained interrogation specialist, gets sent all over the world on a moments notice because they got a hold of somebody. He’s says the best interrogation tactic is a hot shower and a meal. He says the problem with torture is people will say anything to make it stop, if you want accurate information friendship is the best path.
Protesters in berkeley are more brutal than the so-called torture tactics of the CIA.
That is, unless the CIA has to resort to smacking terrorists up side the head with hammers to get answers.
I think the CIA has become too “squishy”. Start with the knee-capping, and if they don’t talk, resort to blow torchs and vice-grips.

Well, I’d take off the table pulling their tongues out by the roots. Or shoving a piece of rebar through their eardrums. Or gouging their eyes out with a screwdriver.
But only because those “persuasions” would interfere with their ability to understand and communicate the intelligence we are after.

Physical torture (inflicting pain on the body) doesn’t work. The subject will tell you whatever you want to hear, just to make the pain stop.
Like during the Witch Hunts and the Inquisition. Teenage girls would admit to having sex with Satan, just to make the inquisitors kill them and get it over with.
What the CIA did at their Black Sites in the ugly parts of Europe can’t be considered torture by modern standards, because most of it was more mental that physical. If the subject comes from a warm climate, they put him very cold room and leave him there. If the subject comes from a cold climate, they put him in a very warm room and leave him there. They invade the subject’s sleep with a form of White Noise, which has a very negative affect on REM sleep cycles. In other words, it induces nightmares. So that even when they are allowed to sleep, their sleep is tortured.
And you can’t threaten to harm an Islamist jihadist’s family, because they don’t have the kind of family structure that we cherish. Their sons have been raised to die for the cause. Their daughters are chattel, to be sold off in marriage as soon as they are old enough to feed themselves. And their wives are slaves who’s sole purpose is to breed more jihadists.
Physical torture doesn’t work, but psychological torture does. But that waterboarding thing, they need to let that one go. Messy, takes too long, and often doesn’t work.
There are no interrogation tactics I would not try.
I would even flog them, til their skin ripped open and stake em on top of the biggest ant hill I could find.
What Interrogation Tactics Would You Not Try?When you start "drawing lines you will not cross", then by logical extension you accept the consequences of defeat, regardless of what's at stake.
I think the next HVT we scoop up, we should get all the major news networks to meet us at the white-house gates to witness as we dump the camel-humper off and proclaim, "this one's for Obama to interrogate", and then list whatever it is we believe the gomer is involved in.
Then drop the hog-tied bastage in the Secret Service's lap and tell them, "Package for the President". Then turn around and leave.
Bumbles bounce better after enhanced interrogation techniques.
