I had a 72 Gran Torino with a 302. You would think it was too small an engine for that car, but it did very well. I’ll bet it was a beast in a Mustang.

It was when we started and then my buddy and i did some non-stock alterations to it went like no tomorrow. We put Dana 4:11's in the back end which meant we had to almost double the size of the Drive shaft and I can't remember all we did to the engine. I know he had the cylinders bored and I seem to recall a Quadrajet carb on it that took us a while to tune because it had dual progressive linkage on it.

Of course this was 38 years ago and some of the memories are a bit cloudy.
