Mosel valley for me. I lived in Traben-Trarbach for three years. I never took the opportunity to learn about all the history, dating back to Roman times. People there are friendly, and the pace is easy going.
On a nice day, coming over the ridge at Urzig is breath taking...the valley opens up for 10 miles in both directions. Trier to Koblenz was my second home.
